I’m a mum, educator and movement obsessive
I should have know from the three rounds of IVF that it took me to get pregnant that motherhood was gonna hit me like a tonne of bricks and that what I thought was fit and healthy before pregnancy wouldn’t be resumed or best serve me afterwards.
Even though I had been teaching Pilates and yoga for over 10 years, I had to do a lot of re-education about pregnancy, birth and postpartum, advocating for myself and fighting against misinformation or outdated practices even among medical professionals. Trying to find out how best to heal diastasis recti, best pelvic floor rehab and habits, surviving hormonal rollercoasters, tiredness and nurturing my physical and mental needs - this was all hard won and, of course, a work in progress forever more.
My mission in life has become to provide women at all stages of motherhood with the latest evidence-backed exercise methods and health strategies. Pilates, yoga and strength training - because we need good strong and functional bodies to survive and to ultimately thrive.
